Day 01 - Your favorite movie
As an all around amazing film with all the works it’s definitely Magnolia. For one thing its PTA’s baby and when a filmmaker himself, especially one as fucking astounding as him, says that a film is “the best thing” he thinks he’ll ever write, you have to really find some joy not only in the film itself, which is a beautiful 3 hour long gem of drama and humor and phenomenal characters, but also in the film creator’s love for his own work and the obvious personal weight it must carry for him which you can’t help but put on yourself as well. And plus I mean, Aimee Mann sing-along.
